Your partner for smart farming: SKF solutions at Agritechnica
06 Nov,2019
Hard-wearing and low-maintenance sealed bearing units and a new distributor program will be unveiled by SKF at this year's Agritechnica.
SKF is launching new additions to its Agri Hub range, on its stand (Hall 15, Stand 15F48) at Agritechnica. The bearing solution is designed to help customers with the daily challenges of farming equipment as mud and debris, intense periods of work and inactivity.
The range extension includes the addition of the SKF Agri Hubs for tillage (T50 and T100), SKF Agri Hubs for seeding (S100) and SKF Agri Hubs for disc Plough (P100). All mentioned hubs are solutions with a bearing and seal integrated in one housing. The housing has the flange in all Agri Hub. These ready to mount units can extend the service life of machines, allowing different performance levels for different types of machines.
Like all new concepts for SKF Agri Hubs, the latest additions have been put through mud slurry testing at SKF’s Research and Development Center and extensive field trials have been carried out to validate their performance. These tests are used to determine the ability of the bearing sealing system to withstand contamination intrusion under aggressive environmental conditions. Seal designs are tested against competitive parts in side-by-side mud slurry testing.
SKF will also introduce the Agri Distribution Program at Agritechnica. The Agri Distribution Program has been developed to help distributors to increase the range of bearings SKF is offering together with its PEER brand to Agri dealers, subcontracts and farmers. The program includes an extended cross reference list, product information packages to support e-commerce, co-marketing tools and training packages
In addition to tried-and tested lubrication solutions, SKF will present a concept study on a new generation of pump units with intelligent control options. The system can be used, for example, in tractors or combine harvesters, can be flexibly configured so that the right pump can be created for each user.
