Police say there have been multiple reports of incidents involving ball bearings in the town, the most serious involving a local woman who was hit in the head with one.

The pair discovered two small silver ball bearings on the ground near them.

Officers and a canine unit attended the crime scene, but no suspects were located.

The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The man and woman both report not hearing or seeing anything prior to the incident consistent with a BB gun / Air Soft /firearm.

Damage was estimated at $200 and there were no injuries or suspect information.

Officers are also investigating a report of ball bearings breaking two windows at a multi-unit residence on Emerick Avenue between Central Avenue and Robinson Street.

Damage was estimated at $400 and again no injuries or suspect information.

Detectives have canvassed the area for information.  Detectives are appealing to businesses and residents in the area to review their closed circuit cameras footage between January 10,  (11:00pm) and January 11 (11:30pm) for anything suspicious.
